PROGRESSIVE | ACOUSTIC MEETS ELECTRIC | IMPROVISATIONAL

Progified is a loose, vibe-driven project by Thiago Campos and Rod Calcagno, formed in 2015. Built on the chemistry of spontaneous jams and a shared love for storytelling through music, the duo explores original compositions and creative reinterpretations of prog and cinematic rock — without the pressure of overproduction or rigid plans.

Their debut release, “Why”, set the tone: an atmospheric, introspective progressive track blending acoustic and electric guitars, spacey keyboards, and poetic lyrics that ponder humanity’s place in the universe. Written by Thiago, Rod, and keyboardist Junghwan Kim, and featuring Felipe Campos on bass, the song embraces mystery, wonder, and the eternal question — why?

In 2025, Progified returned with a bold, cinematic cover of John Petrucci’s “Jaws of Life”, originally sparked by an Instagram request. The result — described as “Pirates of the Caribbean meets prog metal” — blends orchestral textures, acoustic rhythms, and heavy riffs into a dynamic reimagining that stays true to the duo’s spontaneous spirit. The cover is now available on all major platforms, with an animated music video in production — featuring a wild chase between a T-Rex and a flamingo across Earth and space.
